Obituary for Wilma France

Wilma Edith Fite France, 90, of Munford, Tennessee, passed away at her home on July 27, 2022. A homemaker, she was married to Raymond France, USMC, who died in 2013, and together they lived at several military bases in Hawaii, New Orleans, LA, and Camp Pendleton, CA before retiring at their permanent residence in Munford.
Daughter of Mary Edith (Delashmit) and John H. (Jack) Fite, Wilma grew up on a farm in Atoka, Tennessee. She cherished the many memories of growing up in a large family with her siblings and nieces, Joyce Cornelius and Guelda Harrison. She was a 1950 graduate of Brighton High School and attended Faith Assembly of God Church. She loved to be surrounded by children and was a caregiver to several including her many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Wilma was predeceased by her sisters, Kate Banks, and Mary Vance Hill; and brothers, Walter, Larry, Robert, Bill, Russell, Earl, David (Pat), and Walker Boyd Fite.
She is survived by her children, Ken Joyner (Sandra) of Atoka and Rick Joyner (Mickie) of Millington; and grandchildren, Chris Joyner and Ericka Joyner. The family is especially grateful for her caregivers, Kathryn McKenzie and Mary Riordan.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 30th, from 2:00 p.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m. at Munford Funeral Home, Munford Chapel. Interment to follow at Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford.
